Day Out With Thomas

Tuesday, June 4th was a very special day for Carter! He got to meet his favorite train- Thomas!

Katie and I with both the Carter's journeyed up to Blowing Rock arriving around 9:30 am. The weather was great and the crowds were few. Carter screamed when he saw Thomas riding the rails. He wanted to ride the train NOW! We decided that would be our first stop so we booked the 10:00 am ride. While waiting we walked around a bit- the Carter's sat on the horse statues and then rode a little quarter train which they liked.

We rode the 25 min ride and enjoyed the scenery and the cowboy and Indian charade.

After we went to the rides and the boys rode a helicopter and then we rode the ferris wheel and merry go round. The ferris wheel made my stomach drop out the first couple times! It's been a while!

We took the chair lift next up to Deer Park and rode the mouse train. The boys loved feeding and petting the goats, and then we saw emu, a llama, and European fallow deer. After washing up good it was definitely lunch time so we got a pizza and the boys were about starved!

We decided to make quick work of the sheet so we went to see Sir Topham Hatt and they played on a bouncy house. After we went to the gift shop where Car got a t-shirt and train and then we left.

Mom kept Camden for me and said he did great- longest I've been away from him. He went from 7:15 am to 3 pm without nursing.

Carter and Carter were wiped out and immediately fell asleep on the way down the Mtn.

Carter said his favorite part was riding the trains.

Good memories made and great day.
